At the same time, the parent company Green Transition Holding (GTH) becomes a new strategic partner and shareholder in Trosvik. – This will strengthen our position towards the green shift. This will also help to create more safe and sustainable workplaces in the future, says Trosvik’s CEO Jan Brønsten.

On 14 June 2024, it became clear that Ecvio, which is a wholly owned environmental technology subsidiary of Green Transition Holding (GTH) based in Akland in Risør, will become part of Trosvik Maritime. The company changes its name to Trosvik Energy, and at the same time GTH enters as a strategic partner and shareholder in the Trosvik Group. Through active ownership, GHT will ensure close cooperation between Trosvik and the companies in the GTH group.

Project synergies provide growth opportunities
– Trosvik and GTH see significant project synergies and opportunities for growth in renewable energy production with a focus on waste incineration and carbon capture. Our strategy is to develop new technological solutions that can contribute to a more sustainable industry, says Jan Brønsten.

Important step towards the green shift
– The Trosvik group works, among other things, with the development of new environmentally friendly solutions within shipping, the aquaculture industry and the energy sector. The collaboration that has now been entered into with GTH emphasizes that the company is taking an important step, and an even clearer position towards the development of green and sustainable industrial production. Thus, it is also an important contribution to securing and creating new sustainable jobs, both here in Grenland and in Akland, says Brønsten.

Strengthens competitiveness and secures jobs – This is a day of joy for both customers and employees. We strengthen our competitiveness, delivery capacity and secure jobs, says general manager of former Ecvio, now Trosvik Energy, Frode Bjørntvedt.

Considerable industrial muscle – For GTH, we see this as an important milestone for us in our business development. As a result of this collaboration, we gain significant industrial muscle that will help realize our projects and our contribution to sustainable energy production, says director Geir Otto Amundsen at GTH.

Looking forward to it! – We are really looking forward to the journey together with Ecvio and the GTH family and to getting to know both employees and customers better under the new name Trosvik Energy, concludes Trosvik CEO Jan Brønsten.
